General information for foreign volunteers;

• Inform CEPACET about your interest by completing the form below
• Fundraise for enough money that can sustain your stay in Kenya
• Once we have agreed on the date and time of arrival we will pick you up from the airport and take you to the appointed residence
• Upon arrival, volunteers undergo orientation the following day at CEPACET office after which placement is done. The volunteer is taken for a round trip to the placement area for familiarization an acclimatization
• Gifts are received at the office or designated placement area

Dear Volunteer,

CEPACET acknowledges volunteerism as a fundamental component for its operations. In so doing, the organization welcomes both local and foreign volunteers to exercise their skills, knowledge, talents and hobbies in changing lives by making them better whenever they are placed.

CEPACET staff will always provide the necessary support to enable volunteers carry out their work with ease. It is our believe that that wherever you’ll be placed, you’ll improve the situation and make it better than you found it.



1. Volunteers are urged to uphold work ethics in there places of work (office, field and anywhere in Kenya)
2. Be of high moral standing and avoid confrontation of any kind. Your security is very important to you and CEPACET.

Activities to volunteer in;

The activities go hand in hand with the key program areas that CEPACET implements in Kenya. For instance, a volunteer can;

• Teach, learn, play, and feed with orphans in children centres and schools (cultural exchange)
• Design programs that can make the lives of these groups better
• Guide and counsel the vulnerable and orphaned children to develop their self esteem in order to grow up responsibly not affected by the past
• Visit teen mothers and street families and donate them food stuffs and other materials
• Develop proposals and fundraise to support the vulnerable groups in future
• Take children for an outing (recreational centres)
• Carry out sensitization sessions with women, girls, children and youth on various social and economic issue such as HIV/AIDS, economic empowerment, unexploited opportunities, agriculture, drug abuse and use
• Mobilize food, cloths, shoes and other basic needs for the vulnerable groups
• Support education by mobilizing stationery,
• Mobilize girls needs i.e. sanitary towels, soaps, body lotions etc
• Support Art by the disabled
• Enhance talent
